Ok, so you all know I'm kind of a big deal.
I hang out with Meb
I get quoted in major newspapers.
I'm sponsored by Sony
I get recognized by readers in the airport
ummmmm... .I'm sure there's a million other examples, but in the interest of brevity we will leave it at that. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging. *
ANYWAY: I've gotten pretty used to being a big shot, so I wasn't too surprised when I got this letter from the PR people for GU.
Ok, I couldn't get a very good shot of the letter, I will paraphrase:
"Dear Tricia, we think you're the coolest thing since sliced bread so you were the natural choice when deciding who to send out our top secret new product to. There are only 26 tubes like this in the world. You were our first choice, and then the other 25 schmucks athletes were an after thought. We are dying to know what you think of this new product. In fact, we are so impressed with your athletic endeavors, that we'd like to ask you to become one of our sponsored athletes... ... " **
You don't need to read the rest, they continued sucking up to me for quite a while. It was pretty embarrassing actually. All the butt kissing aside, I was excited to learn they are launching a new product.
Introducing: Brew Electrolyte Tablets
"High Performance Hydration Tablet for Serious Athletes"
These effervescent electrolyte tablets are naturally sweetened with Stevia and are 10 calories per serving, allowing the "body to retain optimal electrolyte balance without providing unneeded calories". And of course, they are super convienent and easy to carry.
(I will review their taste and performance in my upcoming training posts)
The Brew Electrolyte Tablets will be released to retailers in March. In the mean time, check out the new Roctane and Chomps flavors HERE.

*hopefully you can tell I'm just joking about being a big deal
**ok, they didn't REALLY ask to sponsor me.I assume that's merely an oversight on their part.
