2. Fathers Day:
Hope all the dads out there had a great day! (Love you Dad!) We had a lovely day that included some delicious eats from the grill, enjoyed outside:

My dinner (grilled catfish,zucchini,sweet potato):

My hubby is more of a steak and potatoes kind of guy:

(... random thought: pretty sure its been 12 years since I've had a steak)

And we each enjoyed a slice of this wheat beer bread I made. yum!

I finally caved into the cake ball craze and made my honey some treats:

3. Feeling nervy:
I went to the neurologist on Friday and had a Nerve Conduction Velocity Study as well as a Electromyography. The nerve study involved having little electrodes placed up and down both legs and feet and then electrical impulses stimulate the nerve. Feeling wise it ranged from tickling to ridiculously painful. That darn nerve in the left foot just plain hurts! The Electromyography is a test where they insert needle electrodes into the muscles (again, down the front of my legs and the top of my feet) and then I would have to contract my muscles and it would measure how they react to stimulus. This test was pretty simple and I'd take those needles over the electric stimulus any day!

The verdict? "Doesn't look like Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. I'll analyze your tests and get back to you." Gee... .great. :)

4. Running:
I finished reading the book "Run Less, Run Faster" and am convinced the FIRST training plan is the best one for me. While the plan is challenging, I'm hoping less running days and a focus on cross training will help me cross the finish line injury free. Now I just need to figure out a race pace so I can solidify my plan. I don't have any recent race times so it's time to sign up for a local race.

In the interest of full disclosure... I am no longer running pain free. I had two blissful weeks of pain free runs and now it has returned. The heel pain went away after I received a shot to "calm the nerve". I'm not willing to keep getting shots to just mask the problem though. Hopefully we can figure something out at my appointment this week.

5. Family Visit:
I'm having 7 family members come in town next Monday and I'm super excited! Of course that means I've spent the weekend cleaning out my refrigerator, re-arranging my pantry and hasseling my hubby to clean the garage. Does my family actually care if my canned goods are alphabetized? Nope, but that doesn't stop me from stressing. :)I'm hoping this week goes super fast, I can't wait to see my family.

6. Guest Post:
I had the honor of writing a guest post for the amazing MizFit last week, check it out HERE. I pretty much want to be her when I grow up, if you've been living under a rock and don't know who she is then head over to MizFitOnline.com and check out her awesomeness.
