I've never been able to say this before, so please forgive my gloating: I finished in 17:4X - good enough for 1st place and a new CR (I think that previous fastest time was 18:5X, but please correct me if I'm wrong).
The course has taken a terrible toll on my body. The course was extremely runnable, but, I'd guess, around 60% slick rock. Needless to say, my quads are trashed.
I'll write up a short post later. But I must thank a few people. First, thanks to my sister, Liz. She was my amazing crew - there to comfort me and reassure me. Thanks also to Reid Delman and the wonderful volunteers.
