Last Saturday was my first group training run as a ZOOMA Austin Ambassador.
We met at Luke's Locker which is conviently located next to Town Lake Hike & Bike Trail. You may remember me talking about how much I love this trail back in Septmember.
Unfortunately much of the portion we were running was undergoing some sort of maintenence, so it wasn't quit as scenic as usual, but the more urban areas seemed to keep things interesting.
Switching from trail to road and back meant some hills, but that was good practice for what awaits us come race day.
You can click that pic to enlarge it. What do you think about the elevation chart? The race was billed as a "challenging" hilly course. So, hill work will be important this training cycle. As silly as it sounds, I'm pretty excited about the hills. I know I've mentioned this before and received hate mail because of it, but I actually LIKE hills. That being said, I've never really paid attention to elevation charts... so... .does this one look "challenging" to you?

That was my FIRST group run ever. It was so much fun to meet new people. We ran 5 miles, but they flew by as we chatted and got to know each other. I'm looking forward to our next group run on Saturday.
