Prevention put out a list of "25 Ridiculously Healthy Foods" recently.
(mine in bold) I thought the list was pretty standard- with a few surprises. Check it out!
1. Eggs- choline and antioxidants

2. Greek Yogurt- Calcium, healthy bacteria

3. Fat Free Milk- Calcium and Vitamin D
4. Salmon (flex!)- Vitamin D and Omega 3s
5. Lean Beef- iron
6. Beans- fiber, protein, calcium, magnesium, potassium (go beans!)

7. Nuts- omega 3's polyphenols

8. Edamame and Tofu (Soy)- phytoestrogens

9. Oatmeal- fiber
10. Flaxseed- omega 3's
11. Olive Oil- MUFAs
12. Avocado- MUFAs

13. Broccoli- disease fighting benefits
14. Spinach- lutein, iron, folate
15. Tomatoes- lycopene
16. Sweet Potatoes- Vitamin A

17. Garlic- allicin (decreases high blood pressure)
18. Red Peppers- Vitamin C

19. Figs- Potassium
20. Blueberries- antioxidants

21. Asian Pears- fiber
22. Lychee- heart healthy polyphenols
23. Apples- reduce the risk of morbidity from heart disease
24. Guava- Vitamin C, protection against Listeria and Staph
(0.5 oz of guava juice in baby bottles anyone?)
25. Dark Chocolate (love it!)- Flavenoids

I think I would add bananas, raspberries, chicken, turkey, whole grains (quinoa, amaranth)
