I'll be away from home (and the Internet) for a few days. Since I knew this would break your heart, I decided I'd leave you with an extra giveaway to cheer you up. :)
When I started running longer distances I quickly realised that "cotton is rotten". Yep, thats an old corny saying but it holds true especially in the warm humid climate I live in. As I was looking around for some running socks I came across several online Runners World articles reviewing socks. Bridgedale's socks consistently preformed well so I was excited to try them out.
The company sent socks for myself as well as my husband to try. That ended up being great, since this injury has kept me from running. Todays review is based off of Charles' experience with the socks. The first style he ran is was the Bamboo Lo.
He'll be the first to admit that he was skeptical. He thought they LOOKED like they may be hot. He was pleasantly surprised to find out how COOL and dry they kept his feet. Of course the added bonus is that bamboo is a renewable resource.

Next he ran in the Speed Demon's
These are the socks he ran in race day. He LOVES them and went so far as to tell me that if his feet are going to be running more than a single mile he will have these socks on. The support and "impact cushioning" through the heel and ball of the foot is exceptional. What set these socks apart for him is the extra bit of support across the top of the foot where you tie your shoe laces. That's an area that is often red and sore for him and that problem disappeared with these socks.
Even after running a half marathon, his feet were still totally dry, and he has been completely blister free since he started running in Bridgedale's.
