As I got into running longer distances I began to research different ways to stay hydrated on a run. I could either hide water bottles in the bushes along my route (yes, people do this), or wear a hydration belt. I opted for the second method.
The people at Nathan were kind enough to send me a few of their products to try out and review. I was most excited about their Trail Mix hydration belt.
As you can see it has several great features. Two 10oz bottles, a large pocket to hold your ipod/phone/gu, and an adjustable waist. I took it out for our 10 mile run last week.
I wore the bottles to the back, but you could wear them any way that is comfortable for you. I was worried they would bounce around, but I put the belt on snugly and they stayed in place. I put it over my shirt and had no issues with chafing. The bottles were easy to remove and replace with just one hand. And I loved the pouch in the middle. I put my my shot blocks and some cash in the inner pocket and used the mesh outer pocket for my ipod since I knew I'd want to have it easily accessible.
