Leave your valuables at home (or at least not in the car)

Theft can happen anywhere and we all know this. Would you leave your purse or wallet in your car at the grocery store or downtown? Probably not. So if you are heading to the trails, remember to keep your valuables at home, or at least, not in your car. When I drive to the trailhead, I almost always leave my wallet in my car – but I won’t anymore! Most thieves are not caught, but some get the comeuppance.
