I firmly believe in supporting small business and count myself lucky to have come in contact with the force behind The Silver Maple. Jacquelyn is a mother and a runner who is passionate about making beautiful, custom jewelry.Every time I wear one of her necklaces I get compliments. In fact, I’ve gone so far as to request she send me business cards so I can hand them out whenever someone is drooling over my necklace.Jacquelyn followed my journey to my first marathon last fall and created this piece to commemorate that race.
The round charm is made from clipping a word out of an antique dictionary. The words “endure” and “persist” are a perfect description of what I went through that day. And as I start marathon training again, it has been a great reminder of what I have accomplished.
