The Connection Runners

ZOOMA Ambassador

The last few weeks have been full of good news for me. I was thrilled to be featured in Austin Fit Magazine as one of Austins Fittest Couples and now I'm honored to have been selected as a ZOOMA Austin Ambassador.

For those of you unfamiliar with ZOOMA, I will give you a basic overview.

ZOOMA is a womens race series that "celebrates the power and beauty of all women". They focus on promoting womens health and fitness by encouraging them to sign up for events.

Their races are a celebration of women. After completing the 1/2 marathon, runners are given a necklace to commemorate their accomplishment. There is a "after party expo" where participants are pampered with wine tasting and massages.

One of the things I love best about this race series is that while it is a "race", they go beyond simply accepting all level of runners, they encourage and welcome anyone that wants to run.

They celebrate the beauty that is found in a woman with the desire to run.

ZOOMA is so commited to helping women achieve their running goals that they offer both online and in person training. One of my duties as an Austin Ambassador is to lead the weekly training runs. I look forward to meeting and running with other women with a passion for running. You can find out more about the upcoming training runs HERE.

Outside of leading group runs, my main focus is to be a cheerleader for running. I get to share my love of running with others women and encourage them to train towards their own running goals.
